PASSFORT is a password management application developed specifically for the Texas Instruments TI-99/4A home computer. It stores, retrieves, and manages your passwords directly from your TI-99/4A.
PASSFORT, The Software
Manage 240 passwords
Each entry includes three fields of up to 25 characters: a description to identify the service, a username, and the corresponding password.
Safe from the Internet
The TI-99/4A was built in an era before the internet existed. Since it has no internet connection, remote hacking just isn’t an option.
Storage
Data can be stored on multiple media types, including floppy disks, TIPI devices, and Gotek drives. Cassette support will be added in a future release.
Import your passwords
You can easily import your existing passwords using a standard CSV file. This allows for quick migration from other password managers or spreadsheet-based systems

The password management screen is designed for intuitive navigation, making it easy to browse, view, and manage your stored credentials.

PASSFORT, The Hardware

Shipped with a 32K ROM
“PASSFORT v1.0 occupies 32,476 bytes, fitting comfortably within the cartridge’s 32KB ROM capacity.
Updatable
The cartridge board can be updated with new versions of the software by just changing the ROM as it is socketted.
Evolutive
Ready for future evolutions, the board can host up to 64K ROM by just changing the jumpers. Perfect for upcoming versions of PASSFORT that may require more space.
EEPROM available
PASSFORT can be delivered with an EEPROM instead of a ROM, making it easier to update the cartridge—provided you have the necessary programming hardware.
Different cartridge types
Each PASSFORT can be delivered in a recycled original TI cartridge, with your choice of keeping the original TI label (such as ‘TI Invaders’ or ‘Writer’) as a discreet decoy, or having it replaced with a custom PASSFORT label at the time of order.
Binary availble
PASSFORT is also offered as a downloadable binary, ready for use with TI-99/4A emulators. However, please note that running it on a modern, internet-connected computer goes against its original design goal of offline, secure password storage.
